O Christ our God, who in the incarnation assumed the fullness of our human nature, who shared in the joy of the wedding and the sorrow of the funeral, who came not to be served but to serve, who was anointed with the tears of the harlot and who will dry all tears in the age to come, and who promised never to leave nor forsake those who have been called by your name, grant that your servant Didaskalos be given the grace of tears and the support of the Body which you have provided to bear one another's burdens. May he experience your grace, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit as he serves you in the guise of the homeless, as he bears the weight of the pain and loneliness expressed by so many needy souls, and may his life bring glory to your Father, with whom you are blessed, together with your all-holy and good and life-giving Spirit. Amen. |
