Hi Sheesh,

To answer your questions:

1. This board started as a support forum for Christains who needed less of the debate-oriented, innerfaith atmosphere of Religious Debate Chat. The rules and philosophy governing this type of discussion are found in the FAQ. I started contributing to this board with a discussion to a non-BL pastor about a year and and a half ago, shortly after this board opened.

2. Jesus' brothers are mentioned in Matthew 12:46 and names are given in 13:55 and sisters are mentioned in verse 56. Two other Gospels cross-reference the first passge and make mention of Jesus' brothers again in Mark 3:31-35 and Luke 8:19-21. I'm not sure what tradition would make one believe that God would not allow Mary to bear another child. His words couples since Adam and Eve was to "be fruitful and multiply". Additionally, culture and custom of the day delighted in a large family. Wealth was determined by how many daughters a man could profitably marry off or how many sons he had to carry on th family line. Given Jewish custom, that 3 out of four Gospels make mantion of Jesus' brothers, and what God intended through the bond of mairrage, I offer that Christ did indeed have earthly and heavenly siblings. I count myself fortunate to be one of them.

Blessings,
Oliver
