Like Bach says, I'm not Roman Catholic – I was just trying to explain their beliefs. I was Seventh-day Adventist when I was very young, was then baptized into the Episcopal Church (=Church of England), and still attend a Catholic-leaning Episcopal parish on holy days. Plus, I'm married to a Roman Catholic. Mostly these days I worship with the Quakers, who don't quite fit into the traditional Protestant/Catholic categories. We've had a few Catholics drop by here, but I think you're right that there are many more Protestants here – which is interesting when you think about it, since, at least in the U.S., Catholics are such a large percentage of the Christians. Having Dirk here – another escapee from the Protestant/Catholic divide – has certainly livened things up. Heather |
