be deceiving Dijiman, and at times comforting. But the word is sure and powerful....sharper than a double edge sword....think on these things my friend.
Read 1 Kings 18:20 to 19:18 In this passage you will find a well known passage on Elijah going to Mt.Carmel, to show the people of Isreal that the Lord be God....and He saw a great miracle there through him in that proved Himself to him, and the people of Isreal.
After such a great victory we find Elijah at the top of Mt.Carmel prostrating himself before God, as God instructed, and it rained after many years of drought.
So after these great victories, you would think that Elijah had no fears.
Well, wrong! Jezebel threatens his life and Elijah runs and wants to die.1 Kings 19:4
Notice how God deals with him....he meets his needs. gives him food and rest, and then sends him on a journey closer to God. There God condemns him only on his statement, and I, even I only, am left;. God rebukes him by saying, Yet I have left me seven thousand in Isreal,.

Now it is true that we are far from an Elijah in spiritual zeal for God...but it is good to see how God deals with his people. He meets their need, sends us to be closer to him, and rebukes us when needed.
For God is slow to anger and quick to show mercy....what i see with you brother is that your not alone in your feelings. And that you are desirous to be closer to God, and want the mild rebuke of direction to find rest in Him. Lust is a powerful physical presence that can be offset by spiritual truths. God will resist the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Finally think on the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican Luke 18:9-14. Here we have one who is spiritually proud....thinking himself so much better. And the other a lowly publican....beating his breast and not willing to look up to heaven...saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Jesus said the publican went to his house justified. Think not that your feelings can be condemning and yet comforting. Condemning we are sinners, but comforting to know that God loves us.

Love you brother,
Compassion....1 Peter 5:5
