I've often found that people can't find their way in the world because they are so burdened by their past that the "road ahead" carries a heavy load...and the load dictates the direction a person takes. It's easier to carry the load when the path is flat and unobstructed, or down a gentle slope...but a sharp decline or an uphill climb only makes the load that much more unbearable. I think it's a good thing to unburden yourself from time to time of the load and make even those uphill grades or sharp declines a little easier to bear. |
