Madame LaCrese,

My response above was prompted by this line: "Doesn't the Bible say that if you wanna live long on this earth, you haft to obey your parents?" The phrase "haft to obey" seems to leave no scope for "exceptions to the rule". In the context you have quoted, my obeying my mother would not have resulted in a long life. So, if the Bible DOES say what you say it says, I would say the Bible's wrong.

I do not know what "SS kids" are, so a reply will have to wait until such a time as I know (perhaps you'll be kind enough to tell me?).

"therefore, I cannot imagine "parents" asking a child (one under 21) to do that which is wrong, especially, forbidden in the 10 Commandments."

Sounds like you've lived a "sheltered" life. I can assure you it happens. And it isn't really hard to find. All you need to do is take your sight off that distant shore (it'll come soon enough) and focus on the Here and the Now. Try getting out a little more. We're on the Earth for a reason. No-one here is "just passing through" :)

"BTW, I'm a girl & do call me Ma'am vs Sir!"

Peace be with you, Ma'am (though we Brits usually reserve Ma'am for addressing the Queen)
