There exists somewhere in this world a picture of me with my first boyfriend (me 9, K 6). It's a family snapshot, just like any other. When I recall this picture I see two boys in love with life, and with each other. I wonder what others would see if they were to take a look - just two smiling boys playing in the garden perhaps? But if I were to say the boys in the picture are lovers, what then would the viewer think? And if I were to add that one of those boys is me, would the viewer's opinion change again?
