Nothing wrong with girls, and nothing wrong with wanting to marry one either. I'd definitely like to have kids, a family. I've fallen in love with a couple of girls too, but that never lasted. So I don't know if I'll ever have my own kids.

But I think you're right, you should only ever get married for the girl's sake, no one else's. Not for the future kids, not for parents, not for society. There ain't nothing wrong with not getting married either.

Rather than laying chains over our souls, saying "I have to get married", I think the better way is say "It's OK to get married if I have someone I want to marry". That gives us the freedom to marry and to not marry.

One thing maybe to think about is what it means to have a lifelong spiritual partner to go through life with. A wife can be that. But if you are not married, does that mean you are prevented from reaching spiritual maturity and wisdom. I think it does not.

Welcome to the board. We all share the confusion in different ways.
