like this pop up quite frequently on a mailing list that I belong to. Right now I've got it all going straight to the trashcan, but I take a quick look at the subjects before a final delete. This article is one that I fished out of the garbage. I thought it was worthwhile posting here, mainly because it shows how some conservative heterosexual Christians are thinking and writing about homosexuality. One thing that Heather didn't mention in her post was that both Frederica and her husband Greg had been Episcopalian priests before they became Orthodox. Now he is the pastor of an Antiochian parish somewhere in the U.S. and she continues to write thought-provoking articles and speak. She's an infrequent contributor to Christianity Today, and one of the consulting editors of Books & Culture. I don't know if she still has a regular spot on National Public Radio or not. I'll be back on CBF full force in about another month, but I'll try to keep up with my "real"mail. I was sorry to hear things didn't go well for you on Tuesday. You learning humility yet? :^) Dirk |
