Hi David,

Don't you suppose that Jesus felt quite alone here in the world? He fought society, science and, yes, even the religious authorities of His day. His father was the only one He could turn to. We, at least, have each other.

Jesus was embarking on a new frontier in the wilderness of tradition that had overwhelmed the religious community of His day. The lawyers of His day, that is, His time in the flesh on this earth, had so distorted the law that was given to Moses that it was unrecognizable. He ripped the cover off the tradition and hypocrisy of His day, and laid bare their corruption and self-righteousness. They couldn't face it, so they killed Him.

He lived in this world amid the same kind of dilemma that seeks to overwhelm us in today's "Christian" community, and society. They cannot accept us as lovers of children, or for that matter, lovers of humanity. God commanded us to love one another, and, going a step further, to love our enemies. And He didn't mean that we should lust after them, but really love and care what happens to them. How many so-called Christians really do that today, or accept anyone who does? We must fight the same battle that He fought, not for a material reward, but because we love Him, and want the spiritual reward that He offers us in the gospel. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God…", and all other things will be added unto you. His promise is eternal life, and rest from the burdens of this natural life.

God did indeed create a perfect world, but man, in his carnal desires, has corrupted it. It is not the fault of God that we do not have a perfect world to live in. God has given man 6000 years to do something right with the world, but man, being carnal, has failed. During the next millenium, (the seventh day) He will show the world how it must be done. Take heart, David, Christ is coming back to take charge and clean up the earth, and if we want to be a part of that, we must believe Him and accept the loneliness and sorrow of this fleshly life, with it's thorns.

Remember that forgiveness is the aroma that a rose gives forth after you have crushed it's blooms.

May the Holy Ghost give you comfort and strength.

I have been a boylover ever since I can remember. I will be 69 in a couple of months, and am still holding on to Him for my comfort and strength.

Andy
