By what authority do you call the Gospel of Thomas "Sacred Scriptures"? Why is it that these writings are unknown in the community of Christians founded by the martyr and apostle Thomas in India? What do you believe about Jesus Christ? Who do you say that he is? Have you made this offer of spiritual counsel to others, or just to the people on this forum? In your reply to zip, you said that you were specifically advised to begin to help others as I was. Does that mean that you've never met Father Luke, and rely on the internet to receive wisdom from him? I applaud your exhortation to Learn Discernment. What sort of standards do you recommend we use to discern the spirits? Are these standards any different from the recommendations of the apostles John and Paul contained in the canonical New Testament? The canonical New Testament is rife with warnings of false teachers who would come and attempt to lead people astray. What makes you certain that you have not fallen prey to such a one? Dirk |
