Interesting stuff I never thought about

I really enjoyed reading this thread. I, too, have seen my "age of attraction" change. I used to think middle schoolers were too young for me to relate to....impulsive and out of control. Now I walk around noticing 12 and 13 year olds the most, thinking "there's a cute kid", and they are fun to chat with as long as you keep it fairly simple. I'm even buds with a 10 year old at church.

Another change in me over time has been that I find myself not being attracted in a sexual way with boys anymore. I've alway been more of a person who loved spending time with boys, showing them the love of Christ, being a mentor, or just being someone to talk to who cares. The sex thing was never much of an issue and now it's a non-event. I still want to be a boylover, though, you guys are the coolest. I feel a strong connection with this group and where you are coming from.

I also like what was said about it being a struggle to notice those boys you aren't attracted to at first. That's sooooo true. Sometimes kids like to fade into the woodwork....to not be noticed. These kids don't force you to notice and pay attention to them with their behaviour as some kids do. I have to work hard to spend time with a kid who, for whatever reason, doesn't catch my eye.....whether I don't notice them as "cute" right away or if they are trying not to be noticed. God has a plan for every boy and we have to be his hands and feet to reach out to all of them....not just those we are attracted too.
