It did have some effects. It depends on who you tell. I still direct a youth program and work with children. It took some time to build up confidence, but I was really well-placed to do this. The people I told knew that I was still the same person as before I told them, this was simply another insight into who I am. It didn't change me, only their perception of me. The fact is, zip, it has changed me. I feel more open and confident. If you think there are Christians in your life that can share God's love by accepting you for who you really are, go for it. The freedom to share my sexuality is the greatest gift I have received from the church. Bach |
