Hi Ben, The issue of boys being conditioned by their first sexual encounter certainly has some truth to it, even if it's not the whole truth. My first sexual encounter aged 12 with another 12-year-old boy left me with a longing for more, even though I think I was already emotionally oriented that way before it happened. Then there's the other factor of addiction. I was approached recently by a boy I don't know who asked me if I wanted to "do anything" with him. Not something that normally happens, by the way, and it set me wondering why it did... Anyway, after I put him off and explained why not, we talked briefly and he agreed that it was a bit like being addicted to smoking and drugs. I'm hoping he will think about it a bit more. I'd like to help him some more if I ever see him again, but I'm not sure whether I'm really in the best position to help. Does anyone know of the best general websites/message boards for gay and bisexual teenagers? By the way, Ben, on the subject of masturbation and your recommendation of going without, I tried for a few weeks, but it seemed to upset my bladder capacity after a while. Something to do with the prostate perhaps? I did hear once that regular ejaculation reduces the chance of prostate cancer. I haven't checked up the medical details though.
