Glory and reward

Hi Fod, Yes, the emphasis should be on bringing glory to God, not on our reward. I heard someone preach recently on Luke 12:35-38 where Jesus talks about the master coming home and waiting on his faithful servants. He was talking almost as though this 'reward' from Jesus was the prime motivation for Christian service, and it didn't quite ring true. And I think you must be right that in the balance between the negative and the positive in the next life, it's the positive that must win out in that end.
