Hi, armenta. Welcome to CBF. I'm a non-paedophile Christian, and it really encourages me to find other non-paedophiles who are able to speak calmly without in any way compromising their own beliefs. Your own epistemological humility in the post above is quite refreshing! I think one thing which will help you understand the guys here is to clarify what they mean by the term "boylove." This is not a euphemism for sexual activity between a man and a boy. Boylove usually includes sexual attraction, but that isn't what this site is about. The way I read it, this site is about pouring one's life out for the benefit of another human being. Not in a literal sense, of course, but look at the willingness of these boylovers to spend time with boys, to listen to them and encourage them and mentor them, to laugh and cry and pray with them. Of course, a cynic might say that they're only pretending to care in order to take advantage of any situation that may develop. Someone less cyncial might say that this expression of love flows out of their own need to be loved, and is not "pure." And then someone might turn around and level the same accusations against all heterosexual relationships. The problem is that this type of analysis deals only with generalities, and not with human beings. Unfortunately, most of the non-paedophiles who find this site assume it's a cover for sex-crazed demons, rather than taking it at face value. I've been a participant here since August, and I don't think you would find many people here who believe adult homosexual behaviour is appropriate, let alone sex between a man and a boy.
