Should you work with, relate with, or hang out with boys in your AOA? Why not? I don't feel out of control. There's no more reason for me to be worried about relating to boys than men working with women to whom they are attracted. Is it helpful or hurtful? Does it tear you appart or help you stay together? I guess you mean, does it hurt to not have sex with someone you desire. Yes, it probably does. But I have never had this burning desire in a specific instance. It was always a generic, "Oh, I'll never be able to act on my attraction, oh woe is me." For me, working with kids is really important. I would shrivel up and lose something very important, a zest for life. Kids energize and encourage my creativity. And this goes for both those within my AOA and outside it. In fact, I even enjoy working with girls! (Although I am not attracted to them at all.) Hope this helps, Peace of Christ, Bach |
