I do know about the security risks though, but it's good to warn everyone who's reading. I've been checking the safety issue out, before I got ICQ. The only way you can protect your identity trought ICQ is by having a proxy like Freedom, but that seems to be troublesome at times. I have allready made contact with a couple of people, but these are people I know and trust. I have no problems with them knowing who I am. I would never contact or reply to a message from someone I do not know to be trustworthy. And about trading pics, well the only way to be safe with that is pretty simple: don't do it. If you do do it and get caught, well too bad... God Bless, -zip- |
