Is perhaps an example where God imposes a series of major penalties on David for his behaviour (see 2 Sam 11 and 12 for details). However for those of us who are sceptical about the reality of beliefs of the liberals in the church, it is always striking to see how far their commitment to 'non directive counselling' goes. In the face of what they define as wrong, they abandon such policies. In effect it acts to reveal what they truly believe to be right and wrong - despite their proclaimed desire to avoid such categorisation!! The word hypocrisy springs to mind..... |
