Dear Huck! Can I tell you that I know the exact feeling you are having right now and I am so jealous of you! I was a camp couselor for 3 years during college at a christian camp. There is no greater high than the anticipation before going up and the experience itself!!! I have really NEVER had such peace in my life as those years. I was so close to God and the boys. The memories and pictures and letters I have of and from the boys are a treasure to me! The late nite talks, the campfires, the laughter, the swimming in the pool and lake, free time taking them to shoot bb guns or bows and arrows, and especially the hugs and tears at the end all mean so much!!!!! The exchange of address as you promise the boys you will write to them all year! And yes!!!! Leading a boy to Christ is the most powerful experience in the world!!! I loved the way you put it .. when you close your eyes they are lost and when you open them they are found! I would give up almost all I have now to go and relive those years!!! Take a camera!!! Get all their addresses and dont make any promises you cant keep to those boys!!! They will be a treasure to you and God!!! Peace as you travel. Godspeed -Pendragon Never Forget!!!!
