Hello Pendragon, To me, the situation you describe is one that it's important for us to think about so that we'd be less likely to react inappropriately when and if we felt we were being seriously propositioned. I've asked about this both here and on BC. There have been many different responses and what I've gleaned from them is that the proper response would have two qualities: gentleness and honesty. I'm convinced that regardless of our answer, it must be honest and it must be given in a way that's neither intimidating nor judgmental. You've got to know why you choose or choose not to follow a particular course. I can't tell you the course nor can I tell you your reasons....those are yours and they'd probably be different from mine. Life is indeed a journey and, if God is our goal, we can trust that He'll lead us in the right direction, even if we do make a few detours along the way. ---Ford |
