tj, I first saw Dunston's post here and thought it presented a wonderful image of God.......a God I'd really want to be with, rather than one I'd rather run from. When I found it on BC also, I carried my favorable view of it with me. There I thought it presented something else: a story of how really loving a boy (be it by a father or anyone else) can inspire one to do the right thing in spite of possible ridicule. How the story can be interpreted is subject to the environment in which it is told. ---Ford |
