Follow-up

Thank you so much, Ford and David and Altar, for taking the time to respond to my post; it meant a great deal to me that you would offer me your deep thoughts about this. I've talked with a friend of mine, and he agrees that it would be a good idea for me to seek support in this matter. (Lest I have given the wrong impression up to this point, let me add that my problem is quite an ordinary one, a problem which has undoubtedly been undergone by the vast majority of people in the world at one time or another, and which would evoke yawns of boredom if it were printed in my local newspaper. But because I write here under my real name rather than my nick, I prefer not to blare my problem to the world.) One of the great comforts I have at the moment is in knowing that, in the same way that a boylover can call upon both his closest friends and the wider boylove community for support, so can I. I've increasingly grown to realize that most of the problems boylovers undergo are problems all humans undergo, and that, by sharing with each other their difficulties, boylovers and nonboylovers can learn from each other. The sort of thing I'm trying to do – break out of the prison of silence I've voluntarily lived in for a number of years – is so similar to what many others here are trying to do that I think we can learn from each other as I and many others here seek support from people who previously didn't know of our troubles. So while I'd planned, as part of my cure for Internet addiction, to withdraw from all discussion boards, I think I will make an attempt to continue to take part in CBF, both in order to learn from the other members and in hope that my experience may prove to be helpful to others.
