I've a suspicion that my image of God has derived more from CS Lewis's Narnia than from the bible at times - certainly the images there are more vivid to me than some of the biblical ones, and his concept of the atonement is wonderful. But if you invite me to try to put some specifics in: A God who is: All powerful Loving Interested in the best for me Not willing to let me go A wonderful creator - especially of great people to share life with; some of whom are boys..... The one who came to die for me - and anyone else willing to accept his covenant - and so released me from the inevitable consequences of my rejection of him in sinning The only real hope, for me or the world One who makes life worth living - in the long run Friend - who tells me what is going on in my life King - who is the ruler of the universe, so that living by His rules I will do the best for me and for others A God who is active in my life That's a few of my headline items!
