None of us compares to Jesus, yet he promised those who would let him into their hearts a share in his life. A solitary life is not a punishment, not a sign of failure, not a curse for sins. That's the reason I pointed out how Jesus had led such a life. Surely he wasn't cursed! Each of us is given a way to use our lives and our gifts to bring God's love to others. By uniting ourselves with Jesus and our suffering with his, we can come to realize the goodness we have been given in our selves and be compassionate with the sufferings of others. No life is useless or cursed unless we ourselves believe the lie that it is. All life is blessed, we need to accept that blessing for our own good and for the good of those we come in contact with. ---Ford |
