Speaking of snails . . .

Altar posted the link below at Crossroads a while back; it's an intersexual's attempt to explain to his snail (who is, of course, a hermaphrodite) the concept of "heterosexuality." Altar commented, I think correctly, that it's applicable to all discussions of "natural" origins of sexuality. I first learned about intersexuals – people who biologically don't fit the normal pattern of male or female – when I was on a homosexuality dialogue list. There's an organization of evangelical intersexuals, and they have some interesting things to say about what their nonstandard gender can reveal about God's intent in Creation (but that's a subject for another post).
