Dear Loved, Please, before you make rash judgements, read some of the posts in this forum. We are here to discuss elements of our sexual orientation, and ways of coping with it. Because someone is attracted to young members of our society does not mean that we are acting negatively on those attractions. This forum was created to help us deal with that attraction in a positive, effective and acceptable way, and is an attempt to alleviate the stigma associated with our orientation. No one has control over their sexual orientation, but they do have the responsibility to control the way they act on that attraction. With God's help, and the help of others, we long to unravel the enigma of our attraction, and are finding many ways to be productive members of society. Everyone who has a sexual attraction to children is not a sexual predator, any more than every heterosexually oriented person is a potential rapist or sexual abuser. Heterosexual people work, socialize and live every day with members of the opposite sex, but does that put them in peril of potential rape? More children are abused every day by heterosexual adults than are harmed by sexual predators. There are many more transgenerationally attracted adults who never act on their attraction than there are abusers. Few people know about them, because they never abuse. The abusers are those whom you know more about, simply because they are abusers. If you will take the time to read this forum more thoroughly, I think it will serve to change your perspective in regard to our orientation. God bless you, and keep you in His way. Andy |
