I note your comments however I would add the following. 1/ If God is perfect then we must assume that he knew exactly what he was doing when he created man, and if that is so he must have known what our behaviour would be. To say he did not know how we would behave does not make sence if God is all knowing and powerfull. 2/ The Catholic faith is slowely coming to realise this, and is awakening to a dynamic and loving God. Like it or not, disease, earthquakes, famine etc. are all part of the real world. It seems that we need to suffer to learn, how else can we explain all the natural disasters? God could have created a perfect world, but by doing so would we realy have learned anything during out time on Earth. Danny |
