A true prophecy will conform to the principles of scripture. This effort has to appeal to that which has been rejected from scripture to support its case. The sexualisation of the relationship was wrong on three levels: It was a 'casual' encounter, not on the basis of a long term commitment of the two of you to a sexual relationship. This applies whether the two people were of the same sex or different - the only possible circumstances for a gay relationship are the same as for marriage - i.e. on the basis of permanent commitment of the two of you It was an unequal relationship - I don't get the impression that it was carefully planned and talked about, rather something that happened. In those circumstances given the uneveness of maturity between the two of you, it was probably abusive - as the pain of the repost seems to suggest. It was a gay relationship - in the light of the above, this is almost the least significant element of the whole argument, though it is the one that you've focused on in your introduction of yourself. We've fought that at various times on this board and I don't think it will help to go into now! So that's my position - but remember - 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will cleanse us from ALL unrighteous.' 1 Jn 1 v 9 As my name reminds us - we can be forgiven if we seek God's mercy. |
