It's Much Worse Than I Originally Thought

"For those who question, I was raised in the Baptist faith and became a Roman Catholic Priest many years ago. I have been called upon many times and from many areas to counsel those in relationships such as this."

I'm immediately suspicious of any priest who'd start with a claim to fame.

"Young Man, be still thy tongue! Understand that God has placed an interceder in your life before you because there is an anointing upon you. He and others see this. Open your eyes to that which is before you. These people who have provided you advice have not done so fully by the written word. This interceder is aware of this and should know of the scriptures that speak to this. Again, this is your responsibility to find this scripture; not his and not mine to provide to you."

What unmitigated bullshit. You pretend to offer counsel to a person you've never met telling him to turn his life over to another person you've never met or even talked with!

"From the scripture you quote, I see that you use the NIV Bible. Learn to use it wisely. Learn to interpret the Bible as you should. You have much to learn in life, allow this man to calm your soul. You are not ready to step out on your own without the foundations this man can provide you if he will now continue. Seek his forgiveness and understanding. Learn to pray with him."

Oh yeah, believe anything you or "this man" says. Authority comes from service not from pompous declarations.

"You seek scripture from me. This was your challenge! Has this man not provided you with scripture for the foundation of your relationship? Based upon his request and knowledge from what I have read, I am certain that he has."

Certitude comes easy to you doesn't it?

"There are but only a chosen few who are blessed with an opportunity such as this young man; do not waste nor abuse it."

Again, trust "this man" no matter what; you're sunk if you don't.

"The unorthodox relationship between the two of you is no more than that which is revealed in the Scared Scriptures which have not been included in the Bible."

No Catholic priest with an ounce of orthodoxy would base his counsel on extra-canonical texts.

"No my son, understand what this man had done for you. Cleanly and wholesomely done whether clothed or not, one spirit to another is not sin but should be used by only those who receive an understanding such as this man."

You know, the worst part is that some of what you "know" about this situation may, in fact, be true. By giving such an incredulous account though, you discredit whatever truth may be there. Shame on you!
