Jake, The Bible tells us "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". God doesnt set anyone apart from His love and His mercy. "For God so loved the world...." not "For God so loved straight people and not boylovers". Being a Christian is to be Christlike. Of course I stumble on that path. A lot. But it does not mean that Christ did not die for my sins and that he will not forgive me of them. I also know that I am going to Heaven when I die. Thats a fact. "And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man snatch them out of my hand". I hope that answers some of your questions.
