Dreams are like electronic wiring diagrams with coded symbols that give you a map of where and how your libido is flowing.

You have to learn how to read the codes, just like an electronics engineer.

For me, the classic dream is that I'm trying to fly, but I get tangled up in overhead powerlines. This, for me, means that my spirit wants to ascend, but is trapped in an identification with the communications web, "the net," etcetera. "Spirit" is something that only happens in a closed group of men. On the net, spirit is always short-circuited and fails. Hence the peculiar dynamics of, e.g., Encyclopedia Dramatica. The only reason I can play like this on the net NOW, is that I've fulfilled my vocation of becoming a the guy that does the heroic poetry out loud, traveling around the country and offering access to the traditional drinking-fountains of spirit.

I'm not going to try to interpret your dreams, because, fundamentally, they're your private business.

Only to remark that if you make a good faith effort to pay attention to what the dreams have to say, write them down in journals, etc, you'll find that they do add up to an interesting pattern of meaning; and, just because you dream of a capacitor doesn't mean that you really are one. ;)
