Sometimes we are called upon to give up what we love and hold dear to our self (even if for a short time) be it the wealth, family or self for the soul pleasure of God Almighty. And in return He benefits us manifold with what we had given up for Him.
To some extent I want to give up something for God to attract His love and assistance for that I to have to make a sacrifice. I believe with sacrifices we improve spiritually & become a better person for ourselves and others. And for me at the moment, one of the sacrifices, among many others, is to control myself from visiting this place. Coming here has been good for me for the most part of it. If anyone has recognized me, I have been looking for those, for many years, who feel, believe & struggle the way I do. So some of that I have found in here. Why then stay away from it (Newgeorge), for one reason, cause its more challenging. And in some cases it has been a distraction too & has lead me to disliked actions, maybe not directly but maybe indirectly. (Cat) in doing so it does not make one a better person & shows how much one is prone to sin. Maybe true. What I will be doing with the new time found (Godspell), well (Cat) said it almost all, Prayer, Scripture reading, fellowship and good works of service would be something that I would like to be doing More off. I also intend to Fast a lot . Also concentrate on work & other important things. Also, I had a plan to go for 40 days on a missionary trip, not necessarily for proselytizing, (Newgeorge withdrawing into desert sort of), which I could not make it. Being away from here would be a reflection to the part of the trip (I hope I was somewhat clear). I would like to conclude by mentioning the Sacrifice of Abraham. His sacrifice was sign of love he had for Him. In return He elevated his status, blessed his offspring & provided complete support. My action though minuscule compared to Sacrifice of all sacrifices , as I believe, I just hope it has some glimpse of it to benefit in similar fashion. Living Legend |
