I don't think I said that we can decide what is right and wrong which, I agree, we can never do in most clear-cut cases. We can choose the right or the wrong but I think one of the gifts that God gives to all of us is the ability to discern between the two. He nevertheless has given human beings the power to choose and we often do choose the wrong - always for selfish, short-sighted reasons . . . But we always know and this makes it all the worse I suppose . . .
There are situations which we are coming across frequently now though - for example, in the area of GM foods and embryonic research, where discerning the right and the wrong is not so easy . . . would you agree?
