Ten years? Oh, gosh. It seems like yesterday that Bach and Mark and I got together for a real-life meeting in D.C. and discussed the need for a board for Christian boylovers.

I was perfectly happy at the time with the conversations at Religious Debate Chat (the interfaith/secular board where the topic of BL and spirituality was being discussed), but Mark said, No, there needed to be a place where Christian boylovers could talk about their beliefs outside of a debate atmosphere. And after I'd read a few dozen "I'm attracted to boys; therefore I can't be Christian" posts at BoyChat, I realized he was right.

I want to underline two things that the history page skips briefly over: Jimf3 - a very strong critic of Christianity - was the one who persuaded the Free Spirits Committee to host the board, and Camper was the one who provided unending assistance in working out the technical and security problems that the new board gave birth to.

I also remember with gratitude the brave boylovers and non-boylovers who gathered for the Christian Consultations. For three years we had non-ped pastors join us; one year, we had an ex-gay join us. Everyone was nervous - a little bit or a whole lot, depending on their situation - as to how such gatherings would go, but they were courageous enough to show up and share their thoughts and feelings. Plus, of course, we were supported by those who, because of their own circumstances, couldn't join us.

I'm so glad to see that CBF continues to flourish, thanks to the current generation of posters. I wish you all well for your next decade of Internet life.
