The movie does not attempt to address any of the arguments for or against homosexuality. It basically just assumes that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality (as does the camp itself), and focuses on the lives of the campers instead.
This statement is a contradiction. By assuming there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, it IS addressing the issue. If it wasn't addressing the issue and focusing only on the lives of the campers in general, then it wouldn't be a "gay" camp, just a regular camp. I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with the camp. I just get tired of pro gay forums saying they are not attempting to address the rightness or wrongmess of it when that is exactly what they are doing. Personally, I still am very much undecided on a lot of things in regards to homosexuality. I just wish people who do these kinds of things would be a little more upfront and honest. Dakota |
