I don't believe it's the primary factor behind ANY harm. I think it's a contributing factor of varying degrees. If it were a SIGNIFICANT factor (and it might or might not be, it's hard to judge) then changing social taboos would be the ultimate solution. But until that happens, we need to stop putting boys thru the social stigma.

Despite your claim that your goal is to protect children and your admission that if correct, this would be the ultimate solution, you still proclaimed the study or even mere contemplation of this issue to be pointless! I'm not disqualifying anyone's view. I'm merely pointing out that the views of someone who has something to gain obviously is more suspect than the views of someone who doesn't. If you were buying a car from someone, would you be more apt to believe him if he said the car was in perfect condition, or would you believe him if he told you about some of its faults?

Neither have you presented a shred of evidence that consenting boy partners in a sexual relationship with a man are either. In fact, you have already admitted that you know this is not always the case.
