Some of you may be wondering what these devotionals are that keep appearing on our fourm.

A devotional is a springboard for prayer, Scripture reading and meditation on the word of God.

They are short (usually!) posts that begin with a verse of Scripture or two followed by a comment on the relevance of those passages in our lives today. Our devotionals here at cblf are usually focused on the relevance of the Scriptures in regards to our life as boylovers... but there is no rule that says they have to be. Anything relevant to our Christian walk is welcome. They finish with a prayer that is appropriate to the passages and discussion. So it's a simple formula: Scripture, Comment, Prayer.

There is no particular connection between each devotional. So you don't need to have read any previous one in order to read another. Each one stands on its own.

Devotionals are posted weekly (usally on Saturday cblf time) and we've been counting them so that's why they are numbered. We have three regular devotional posters: Chris, Blazeofhope and myself but the floor is open to anyone else who wants to get involved either as a one off or as a regular contributer. Either as a contributor or a reader, they are there for anyone who finds them helpful.
