The thing is, I'm not trying to solve the issue of pedophilia as a whole. I wish I had the ambition to do so, but I am just trying to figure out my own darn issues at hand.

As I stated in my original post, this article was the first time I had ever heard mention of this particular possible cause of pedophilia. However, since I was probably 18 I had this very reason pretty much figured out for myself. And, again, that is what I'm focusing on.

From my teenage years, I have been attempting to psychoanalyze every thought that I had on the subject and reason why it was I was feeling the way I was.

From deep self assessment and observation I came up with this reason all on my own. Looking at how I viewed the YFs that I had throughout my life and the exact feelings I had towards them. My obsession with wanting to eventually have my own son and give him the love that I never experienced. My aptness to break down crying anytime I saw a movie or read a book where a deep emotional father/son paradigm was explored.

Since that time I have always had no doubt, in my own mind, that this was at the very core of my feelings. I just could never see it expressed by any psychoanalytical literature to date.

This I simply do not believe this to be so. No matter what any study can produce, I believe the exponential increase in the sexualization of the children in our modern society would lead to a far greater decrease in the reporting of the crime, due to the children involved not being so foreign to the idea of sex at their age, and therefor not under the impression that what is happening is wrong in any way.

As the perverted notions of the anti-religious in our culture become more and more common place in our society, school system and media that children are surrounded with the less and less we will see of reported child molestation.
