Hi Cat,
It's amusing thinking of you and your prancy little walk :-) I have to say for me they were a way of declairing my identiy as a homosexually inclined individual. It did occur to me that some of the mannerisms are possibly a "out and proud" means of identification. But, I don't think that's always the case. In the example I gave of me in kindergarten, I was mortified at being singled out for "sitting like a lady". I did not know what "gay" was, did not have any gay attractions (that I remember), was painfully shy, and was just doing my best to NOT stand out in any way. I was the further from "out and proud" you can get. And yet, unknowingly, I was displaying this "gay" trait. I've got to think (in my case, at least) that there is some sort of connection. [I find myself going back to my parental relationships ...] Anyway, we can move on to other topics. This thread is getting quite far down the page now. Blessings, Rainboy |
