I suspect that you may be being over optimistic if you think a church won't look dubiously on having a gay guy on their team of volunteers for their youth. Of course they shouldn't, but in practice they don't live up to the standard. But let's hope so.

Sorry for being so pessimistic - having had exactly that experience (on the grounds of being gay, not a BL), although it was 25 years ago - makes me a bit sensitive on the issue.
