First of all, I agree with Newgeorge, I think it is important to be a part of a church community. There are things that real life people can give you that a T.V. evangalist cannot. Not to say that Joel Olsteen is bad to watch or anything, I love him too. But I also love being a part of my church.
Have you ever heard the saying, "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."? That is kind of how I approach being a member of my church. I think there are maybe a lot of people there who have at least some suspicion that I might not be heterosexual, but so far noone has ever come right out and asked me about it. I do not work with the children of our congragation very much at all, but I do play music and get involved in other ways. And through that I have actually been able to do a few things with the kids as well, although that is not my goal in belonging to the church. My goal is to serve God in whatever way He would want me to. And you can't serve God unless you are somehow involved with people. If you are involved with people, you also need to be involved with God's people, no matter how flawed we might be. I want to answer your last question but I don't quite know how to go about it unless I do some scriptural digging myself. Let me get back with you on that one. But before I do, just a thought...everyone fantasizes about sex, whether they are BL, GL, Gay or Heterosexual. I thinK God is well awair of this and understands, just as He understands about all our human weaknesses. Chris ![]() |
