On the way to the library today I was listening to the local Christian Radio station. Every day they do a pre-recorded message from Dr. James Dobson. Today's message was all about how a young boy will tend to associate more with his mother, but at a point in time in his life he must disconnect with his mother and learn to be more like his father. He said it is when boys fail to do this either because thier fathers are too busy to spend the needed time with them, or they have no father in thier lives at all, they will wind up being effeminant and gay. Of course I am paraphrasing his words because I don't remember his exact words, but that is the gist of what he was saying.

I just get sick and tired of hearing the same old garbage from people who are supposed to be our spiritual leaders. First of all he is saying that Homosexuality can simply be prevented by "manning the child up" so to speak. This is terrible and wrong. I've known plenty of gays who do not act effeminent at all, and no the other hand I've met Heterosexual men who act so effeminent that you would swear they are gay. I would say that this simple fact kind of blows his theory right out of the water. But it is the whole spirit in which he was talking that I object to the most. He, and many others like him, view gays and people like us as "THE ENEMY!!!". They have lost sight of everything that Jesus taught about love. It just gets to be sickening.
