I've never been one to mince words. Frankly, it's unlikely you will be able to have a romantic relationship with him now. He's not of your generation and has a lot of growing up to do that you've already been thru. Personally, I am a boylover with no attraction to adult males. If you would still be attracted to him as an adult, an adult romantic relationship might be possible IF he was gay and IF you are willing to wait that long. Asw it stands now, I think you would be wise to "get over" the idea of a romantic relationship. If it happens in the future, ok. But for now, you are only causing yourself pain.
