I couldn't agree with you more my friend. On everything you said. There is NO reason that movie had to have that kind of garbage in it. They could have left all of that stuff out of it and it would have still been a terrific movie for both kids and adults. There has been a sickening trend going on in the movies to gradually introduce more and more sex, violence, drug use, and bad language. It's reached a point where some people, a LOT of people, judge whether or not a movie is good by the amount of garbage in it. And yeah, they call it the "real world" too. Well, I'd like to ask them, "Who's real world?". Not mine. I choose not to drink or use drugs or use nasty language, or any of that kind of stuff. All of that stuff is a choice, and we can choose not to do it or be involved with it. I'm getting really sick and tired of the kind of garbage that the movie industry, or entertainment industry in general, is pawning off on the general public. And we can make a difference if we want to, we can boycott movies and other things that we object to. At the very least we won't have to subject ourselves or, more importantly, our children to the kind of crap that should be in the trash bin. There is so much potential for excellence with the movies, its a terrible shame that they seem to always have to fall back on the kind of shlock that the latest Transformers movie is full of.
