This man does not expect anything, even more so from God.
Life of shame, and disappointment have left him dry.
So if he expects nothing, he can't be disappointed.

Why don't you answer my prayer?

What about ME Lord?

Don't you care about ME?

I see other people around getting prayers answered and people receiving from you so why not ME?


The man says all these things because HE is in the one in pain, in more then one way.

Who actually expects this man to praise Jesus if not even one thing in his life can go right?

I don't. I really don't, it's stupid to ask a man such a thing.

Where it all has it's place, and makes some sense, it's foolish to expect a man to give his life to Jesus based on some preordained sense of pity for a man who died for us, and yet, can't help out just a little bit. Now. Here. Sure, eternity in Heaven sounds great, but getting there is really a pain in the ass, the man would say. Dying wouldn't be so hard compared to living.

The man didn't ask for a pony.
The man asked for a job...
All he does is sit around all day doing whatever.
He's asking God to make his life... even more challenging, not easier.
But the type of challenge that could really help him.

God is a smart God, and He knows that just a simple gesture as that could turn this man's life around.

I don't know what to really tell the man.
He's right.
