my problem is in where does one draw the line.
I see a huge moral difference between promiscuous sex and committed, loving marriages (regardless of orientation). When a gay person seeks to get as close to the biblical ideal of marriage in an attempt to balance pleasing God with the confines of their sexuality... I just have a hard time labeling that as rebellious, willful sin. I firmly believe that we don't choose our orientations. Managing them is tough business. When I say, "who am I to judge" I mean it very personally. My own struggle with things sexual makes me a total hypocrite to judge anyone else for sexual struggles. It doesn't mean that there aren't others in the church better (more objectively) qualified to judge. Blessings Cat. ![]() |
