I too have had only one major young friend in my life. I've been kind-of friends with other boys but never like my "L". He was so, so special to me. I think we must have both been at the right place and right time in both of our lives for such a friendship to happen, but it was just wonderful for a very long time. I met him when he was 8 years old and knew him until he was 18. I haven't seen him in about 9 years now and I miss him terribly. I just hope and pray that he is alright and maybe has a family and kids of his own now. I think he would make a wonderful dad. But when we were together, he and I were inseperable. I would have him every weekend and he would stay at my house. It was the most special, memorable time of my life and it will live forever in my heart. So try to treasure the short times that you can spend with your YF and by all means treasure all the memories you have with him. No one can take THAT away from you.
