If God 'gave up on me' because I have sex with other men, then no offense, but he is a *whinyass bitch*.

So it doesn't matter if I live a life of love and charity. It doesn't matter if I do my absolute best to help and protect my community as well as mankind. It doesn't matter if I recognise and know all of my fellow humans as brothers and sisters as one and the same mind in a miraculous expression of divine creativity.

No... none of that really matters. Because as long as I put my genitals in that forbidden place... oh no no no no. Then I've got shit coming my way.

Ps. I'm not trying to insult you. Perhaps if you have a theistic view of God you are perfectly justified in believing this, but I take it you can see why I do not.

Paul, whereas EVEN I suspect that he was indeed called to preach to the world, does not know everything just because he did.

Oh, I can see it now!

"Saul, Saul... why persecutest thou me? I shall make thee a saint to spread the one true Gospel to all ends of the Earth! Now go, make haste!"

"Oh... and by the way... don't forget to add the little rub about homosexuals, okay?"

That's exactly how it happened...

No, seriously. I don't doubt that Paul had a divine experience, but that doesn't change the fact that he was a Jew, and kept his Jewish traditions all through his life and thoughts. Part of which, included, an extreme stance against deviant sexual behaviour.

Ps. sexual shame of any kind is a fallen trait, not a primal one.
