I have had similar experiences and so have many of the other posters here so we know how it feels to have a close relationship with a yf and then it ends for one reason or another. It hurts but you will feel better in time as you have found. I'm sure it will be nice to see him again but like you have said it won't be the same. Welcome aboard.
